Love Reached Down and Rescued Me: The Reason for Easter

Wendy L. Macdonald blog

My latest podcast on couldn’t have been timed any better than it was for me. I don’t always remember what I’ve pre-recorded, so when I listened to it before sharing this post across my social media sites, I was amazed how much it ministered to my own heart. It’s about not sweating the small stuff. It’s about 7 minutes long. Here’s the link: The Small and Big of It .  This takes you to my latest podcast and the earlier ones are there as well.

He put a new song in my mouth,

a hymn of praise to our God.

  1. Love reached down and came through loud and clear into our morning room aka the kitchen. It’s Good Friday; the weather is dreadful, but we were snug and warm in our kitchen, listening to your words, poem, and goodness (or as you would say, God’s goodness! )

    1. Blessings on your Good Friday, dear friend. Your kitchen sounds cozy and has me wondering what lovely bouquet is on your table right now. Thank you for your encouraging words. And absolutely–yes–anything good I manage to share comes from God. xo The timing of some of my podcasts makes me giggle because I’m sure I need them more than anybody else does.

          1. Thank you. The light is awful at the moment because of the weather and my cell phone camera is old and crusty so I am not getting the best of photos.

  2. Wendy, just beautiful. I know … I’ve been sweatin’ it over the big stuff lately … which is a huge reminder to definitely stop sweatin’ it over the small stuff. And feeling so guilty about it. But when I remember that Jesus sweat drops of blood in the garden, peace just came over me … like … maybe I’m okay afterall. <3 Happy Easter, beautiful friend. xoxo

    1. I think I know what you mean, dear Shelli. xoxo We need to save our sweat for when we’re praying for the big stuff. Fear is no match for persevering prayers. Hugs & blessings, sweet friend.

I love a word in season... please feel free to add an apple to the bowl.
